Sunday Funday

Hello lovely people and welcome to my blog!
I've been wanting to start a blog for so long now and I finally decided to do it because...well, why not. I have no idea how to run a blog nor what y'all want to see/read. I however, do know what inspires me and what I want to share with the world.

I guess I will start off with a little bit about myself. I am currently a freshman in college attending a 4-year university. I'm a communications major and I'm loving college life so far. Apart from school, I work an office job which at times gets boring but I love it because it is very different than most the jobs other kids my age are working and it exposes me to many things, like costuming and design. Another bit about myself, I love music (particularly pop punk) fashion, and art.

So, this post has not been thought out at all but I was so excited to start my blog I couldn't wait to think out the perfect post so let's just go with it. I guess now that you know a little bit about me, I'll share my Sunday with you.

Today is a more productive Sunday than most. I enjoyed my sleeping in which was much needed after a weekend of being mauled at a concert then hanging out with my two nephews (1 and 8 years old) all day yesterday. I woke up and walked straight over to my Keurig and popped in a breakfast blend K-cup. Yum! I then added some cream and sugar and grabbed a piece of toast and made my way to my tv. I was in the mood for relaxing and watching some thing fun. I turned on Netflix and decided on a childhood favorite, The Parent Trap. My friend came over briefly before going to work and watched some of the movie with me. After she left and the movie ended I decided to get off my butt and do something! So, into my room I went and quite literally stared at my wall. That's where my inspiration came from. I looked at it and remembered that last Sunday at Michael's I bought a paper reindeer head. My original idea for this was to gold leaf this and stick it on my wall. I really wanted to get working on the head immediately but had no gold leaf-ing anything at home. So I used my little brain and decided to grab two paint color and see where that took me. well, now I have a turquoise reindeer head with gold antlers and I love it! I cant wait for it to dry completely so I can put it on my wall.

As for now, I have a basket of laundry begging to be folded so I'll see you all soon. Thanks!

Here is the finished result of my Sunday wall art project.
